Rest Day with Family

of 5 rest days
Spend the
day doing our usual rest day chores - laundry, bike maintenance and shopping
- and
then with my cousin Lester LaRoche and his wife, Robin, who drove down from
Minneapolis spent our rest day with us.
Visited our CrossRoads
mechanic’s, Peyton, bike shop, Champaign Cycle, to pick up some biking
supplies and to meet their staff. We
think very highly of Peyton and speaking with the manager of the bike shop, he
has the same high opinion. Peyton is
only 23 but has the knowledge, attitude, maturity and sense of responsibility
of someone much older. He will be a
major asset to any future employer.
On rest days, meals are on your own. Had dinner both last night and tonight in a restored circa 1915 brick building. Restaurant name was Silvercreek, which was near the University of Illinois campus.
