Spent the day sorting final gear, equipment inspection and safety checks.  Judi and I decided to visit the kick-off point at Manhattan Beach pier, which is near LAX airport, and one last pre-tour dinner at Judi favorite, an Italian restaurant, which was near the pier.

This is my biking clothes.  Three sets for the next 49 days.  Clothing is all synthetic fiber.

-3 short sleeve jerseys

-3 pair of cycling shorts (2 pair of bibs),

-2 sets of sleeves and legs (one white coolers and one black heavy warmers)

-3 pair of cycling socks

-1 bright colored rain jacket
-1 light-weight wind breaker
-1 thermal jacket
-1 cycling cap and 1 helmet
-1 pair of cycling sunglasses

Had first flat tire today with 0 miles on new tubes and tires.  Defective tube.
